INTERCONTINENTAL RESORT AND THALASSO-SPA BORA BORA

I've visited the Thalasso many times since their opening in May of 2006. Honestly, 'Luxurious' is the word for this five star property. All bungalows are overwater here with different catagories. The bungalows are identical inside and only vary by the distance out over water & views. They are spacious, contemporary in design and tasteful with abit of Tahitian flair thrown in. There is a large living room and an actual entryway, both with floor to ceiling glass. The large deck has a table, chairs, loungers, and a pontoon below for sunning, a shower and ladder to the water. The bedroom is a separate room with a raised king bed and a picture window out to the sea. Flat screen TVs in both livingroom and bedroom. Don't know why we needed two TV's, but they've got them if you want them. The bathroom is schmancy with a fancy tub for you girls with a picture window and separate shower that you'll wish you could pack in your suitcase to take home. I swear I will never forget that bubble bath and the view...The colors are muted, soft and dark wood. This place is fantastic! The view of Bora Bora is unforgettable here. The waters are crystal clear & azure aqua blue at this property. It is fairly deep under the Sapphire and Diamond catagories and has a soft sand bottom. The fish have returned and the resort has a coral nursery growing. Free ray feeding is offered every day on the beach as well. The Algotherm Spa is 13,000 square feet of pure Heaven and I swear the products really work! The newest addition at the resort is the Corail Restaurant, very romantic with lovely lagoon views at night.  You can also take the free daytime boat over to their sister resort, the Intercontinental Le Moana, get a kayak, and pop out to the coral gardens for some wonderful Free snorkeling. One of the best things about staying at the Thalasso is that guests can enjoy their sister resort's beach, and sign for meals and drinks there as well! Still Sparkely new, this resort set a new precident of luxury in French Polynesia.
